Friendly and relevant, we welcome all to join us for worship and events.

Harnessing technology and empowering individuals on their spiritual journey.

Doing Good

Taking action to do God's work in our local community and around the world.

Community Church

We are vibrant and committed spiritual community who are called to bring the teachings of Christ to our local community in a positive, caring way that fosters inclusion and  progressive thinking. We believe the essence and purpose of a local community church is to serve the greater community and we actively pursue this goal every day.

We gather for worship and Christian education every Sunday morning, with licensed infant and childcare provided. Our service time is centered in ancient traditions with modern forms and a relevant contemporary message.

A Christmas tradition, ‘Messiah’ concert returns on Dec. 5th at 5 p.m.

Continuing our annual holiday tradition, join the Laguna Beach Chorale and St. James and St. Clement’s-by-the-Sea Choirs, under the direction of Daniel F. Resch, for a rousing rendition of that Christmas-season classic, George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah,” on Sunday, Dec. 8th at 5 p.m. at St. James. A suggested donation is $25 per person; you may purchase your donation tickets via Eventbrite. Childcare will be provided, and a light reception will follow. Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals, and are optional for those vaccinated; we have masks and hand sanitizer available if you need them.

Be chair-itable! Buy a Christmas gift for St. James

St. James needs new stacking chairs around the campus, and we are trying to purchase 120 chairs. They are currently on sale for $65 a piece, and there are four in a carton ($260). Why not add St. James to your Christmas list? Don’t sit for too long on this deal!

You may donate using the “Giving to St. James” information below, on the left-hand side of the page. If donating online, please send an email to our administrator, Kayla Brock, letting her know that the funds you’ve donated are for the chairs.

For more events, including details on Blue Christmas and Christmas Eve, please visit our Events page.
